Iúnó Connolly

Soprano Iúnó Connolly is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music (MA DipRAM) and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (BMus Hons).

In early 2020, Iúnó joined the chorus of English National Opera in Calixto Bieto's production of Carmen, and made her German concert debut in Handel's Samson with Theatre Heidelberg. Most recently, she formed part of the ensemble for The Royal Opera House's "A New Dark Age" conducted by Natalie Murray-Beale.

 

Recent operatic roles include Gianetta (L'elisir d'amore, Iford Opera); Brigitta cover (Iolanta, Opera Holland Park); and chorus in L'arlesiana and Iolanta (Opera Holland Park), and the role of Chocholka in Janacek's The Cunning Little Vixen at the Barnes Music Festival.

Iúnó has performed at various venues in the UK & abroad including the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence; Heidelberger Frühling Festival; ENO / Lillian Baylis House; Iford Opera; Royal Academy Opera; Aldeburgh Music, Snape Maltings; Benjamin Britten’s The Red House; Chipping Camden International Music Festival; St. Martin-in-the-Fields and Symphony Hall Birmingham. ​
